Day 1: Phuket

Phuket is the largest island of Thailand and its name is derived from the word for 'hill'. Phuket may have abundance of hills but beaches are its biggest draw. While landing, I can see thin line of white sands separating water in shades of blue and land in shades of green.

We came out of the airport and caught a pre-paid cab. The destination was Rayaburi Hotel Patong. To our surprise we were welcomed by a meticulously decorated bed with flowers and towel foldings. A piece of art indeed. It was more joy to see Mansi amazed by the decoration than to see the decoration itself.

After necessary unpacking and getting fresh, it was time to head to Patong, the most famous beach of Phuket. Just 5 minutes of walk and host of surprises. A clean beach, cleaner water,  flock of tourists and delight for eyes. :-)

The late evening was dedicated to the famous Bang-La road. Herd of tourists enjoying beer,  dance, loud music, street food and shopping. Night gets really wild here.
